- Sow indoors in spring, once large enough to handle, transplant the seedlings into pots. Plant out in spring, in well-drained soil in a sunny position. Add plenty of grit to the planting hole to aid drainage or alternatively grow in a container.
Care Tips
Thyme is pretty drought-tolerant, but new plants will need extra care so they do not dry out. Keep cutting the foliate for culinary use and to keep the plant in a tidy compact shape. Cut regularly to enhance busy growth.
