With crunchy stems and sweet-tasting leaves, it’s perfect grown as a cut-and-come-again, harvesting just a few outer leaves as and when you want them, leaving the heart intact to produce more.

Direct sow in small batches every 4-6 weeks, March-early September. Can also sow in modules under cover February-September but avoid the hottest weeks.

Care Tips

The plants need plenty of water, but not too much sun. Hot weather increases the likelihood of them going to seed.
