Description
Gauras would be one of my desert island plants — they’re drought resistant, tough and durable and yet look exactly the opposite, creating the most delicate ethereal cloud. This is my favourite gaura for picking. I love arranging a good handful of stems on their own like posh gypsophila — and it makes a great filler.
Care Tips
Gauras are easy as long as you remember that they are prairie plants. Mulching helps to protect from severe winters. Mature gauras do not move well. The dark spots that appear on their narrow leaves are normal. Large clumps can be divided in spring.
