The Collective brings together influential creatives and industry pioneers, each with an exceptional eye. Invited to Perch Hill at the glorious peak of tulip season, each has chosen a collection inspired by the flowers they instinctively make a beeline for.
The result is a wonderfully personal celebration of colour, shape and character and of tulips as the undisputed queens of the spring garden
What I love is that everyone sees something different. That instinct makes every collection completely individual.

I’m a huge fan of how Arit approaches colour - she appreciates bold, bright and dramatic tones that stand out but don’t shout. You’ll always see it in her clothes and also her garden designs. This is one of those combinations that looks good from every angle without trying too hard. It feels modern but not stark. I love it!

Tom Hammick

Artist Tom Hammick is an old friend whose wonderful paintings I’ve had on the walls at home for years. He has an exceptional eye for colour, and you can see it here. Rich, painterly and wonderfully nuanced, his tulip collection combines smoky apricot and pink with deep, velvety crimson - a fabulous, sophisticated mix for the garden and vase.

Bridal designer Savannah Miller has the most exquisite eye, combining softness and femininity with something always a little unexpected. Following her fabulous dahlia collection for us, she’s brought that same instinct to tulips: layers of blush, cream and pink, punctuated by the spiky purple allium. Totally beautiful – top marks from me – in a border or vase. Totally beautiful.

Andy Monaghan

Brilliant dancer, florist and flower-field grower Andy Monaghan came to Perch Hill and picked this stellar trio himself. He chose three tulips I rate highly for pereniality, shape and colour: rich ‘Artist’, deliciously scented ‘Dom Pedro’ and beautifully formed ‘Sarah Raven’. Together they’re wonderfully cohesive, but with just enough variation in form, colour and texture to make the combination sing.

Swallows & Damsons

Talented florist Anna Potter created this sumptuous line up in her signature Dutch masters palette. Featuring some of our most characterful and intensely coloured tulips – including ‘Black Hero’ and ‘Cairo’ – Anna’s artful collection evokes drama in the vase or grouped together in pots.
