The Perch Hill Cutting Garden

Our East Sussex garden is not open every day, but you can visit on the open days that are listed below. The Perch Hill shop is also open on these days, but otherwise only on weekdays by appointment, or on one of our Christmas Shopping Days. Please phone 01424 838000.

Open Day Information

For information specific to each open day, please see the list of Open Day Dates below.

General information:

  • The gardens will be open from 9:30am-4:00pm, and admission is £5.
  • There is no need to book on our open days; just turn up on the day, park in the field and pay at the gate.
  • Our Perch Hill shop will be open for you to browse and buy from our range of plants, seeds, and home and gardening products. Please note we have limited space here, so do not stock the full range of products available on our website.
  • Tea, coffee, homemade cakes and light lunches are all available to purchase. Lunch will be served from 12.15pm.

If you require further information, please ring us on 01424 838000. If no-one is available to take your call, please leave a message on our answer machine and we will get back to you.

Open Day Dates

 

Saturday 30th May

A perfect chance to see the last of the tulips, as well as the biennials.

Due to unforeseen circumstances Sarah can't be here today so we have moved our Spring Flower and Produce Show to our next open day on June 20th. We're very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause but look forward to welcoming everyone to the garden, shop and cafe in her absence.

Saturday 20th June

June is the perfect time to see lilies, sweet peas and alliums in flower.

Our Spring Flower and Produce Show will be running on this day, please look at our Competition Information page for how to enter our 7 categories.

Sarah will be giving a talk entitled 'What's good in the garden today' followed by a Q+A session in the barn from 2.00-2.45pm. Tickets are £10 and available in the shop on the day.

Saturday 1st August

Wander through the garden in summer, full of colour and texture.

Tuesday 4th August

In aid of National Gardens Scheme

Saturday 29th August

Sunflowers, gladioli, penstemons and euphorbia are just some of the varieties you'll see in bloom this month.

Tuesday 8th September

In aid of St Michael's Hospice

Perch Hill Competitions
