[COURSE ITINERARY]- An Afternoon at Perch Hill and Evening at Sissinghurst

Arrival 12:30pm — 1:00pm Arrival at Perch Hill
Lunch  1:00pm — 2:00pm Two course lunch served in the greenhouse
Talk with Sarah and Josie  2:00pm — 3:30pm Creating a garden and restoring a farm.  Month-by-month in a flower and colour-filled garden and many of the trials and experiments to get there. Josie will join Sarah to do a quick demo of some key Perch Hill garden skills in June, and explain what we’re picking, eating and arranging.
Sarah's Workshop  3:20pm — 4:00pm Sarah continues with plant choices, growing tips and advice, and a hands-on demonstration to bring it all to life.
Private wandering  3:30pm — 5:00pm Time for a private wander around the garden.  Josie Lewis, head gardener, and her team will be on hand to answer any questions you may have.  The shop will
be open at this time too.
Travel  5:00pm — 5:45pm We will then travel (everyone in their own cars) to Sissinghurst.
Drinks and canapes  5:45pm — 6:15pm  Go into the main garden, which is then closed to the public.
Meet Sarah and her husband Adam Nicolson. The Perch Hill team will serve you fizz and canapes.
Talk with Sarah and Adam  6:15pm — 6:50pm  Sitting on the Tower Steps, or (depending on watering in the garden) in the rose garden, you will then hear a couple of talks. Cushions are provided for everyone to sit on the brick steps and there are a few benches, but do let us know if you’d like a chair provided. And do let us know if you are hard of hearing so we can arrange for you to sit at the front. We do not use microphones as this is not good for the general feel and atmosphere of the place, which is very peaceful with no one else there.
Rainy evening plan
Checking in by a Perch Hill member of staff and fizz, canapés and talks (as would have been on the steps in the garden – see above) on the top floor of The
Oast Exhibition space.  We will then go into the garden and the evening will proceed as below.
Private wandering  6:50pm — 7:45pm Private wandering in the garden. Sarah and Adam will be around to answer questions on Sissinghurst, the garden and life there.
Sarah will be there to answer plant names and queries. It’s a good idea to take a photo on your phone of any plants you want identifying to show Sarah. The
Tower and the South Wing will be open through this time.
Depart  7:45pm — 8:00pm Day Ends
