Didn't germinate

I tried sowing these first as instructed and then again in slightly saline compost and on both occasions nothing germinated. Disappointing as I was looking forward to trying this and was prepared for the little extra effort of growing/watering in salt water.

Reply from the Sarah Raven Team:

"Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you have not had any success with your samphire seeds. We would recommend that you surface sow the seed onto moist, well-drained seed compost, covering lightly with just a sprinkling of soil. After sowing water from the base only and keep moist, but not wet at all times. Germination should take 10-14 days. If you would like to try a replacement packet next spring, then we will of course send you one so that you can try again. We have made a note on your account and if you contact our customer service team at info@sarahraven.com or by calling 0345 092 0283 we will arrange for your seeds to be sent out to you .

Kind Regards, The Sarah Raven Team"

Sadly didn't germinate. Was excited about trying this as I live next to the coast. Am wondering if it would work if germinated in peat pods soaked in seawater - may try again
