A prolific producer of handfuls of long, thin fruits. Like cherry tomatoes, these smaller aubergines are perfect for our climate as they produce and ripen reliably, whatever the weather. In the south of England, these can be grown inside or out.

Sowing, Seeds, Planting Sow indoors. Surface sow onto moist well-drained seed compost, allowing 2cm between seeds and just cover with soil. Ideal temp. 18-25°C. Germination takes 14-21 days approx.
Care Tips Better suited to greenhouse production. Stake as you would tomatoes. Provide plenty of water, especially in dry weather. Feed with high potash until the fruits have set.

Storing Aubergines should keep for 2 weeks in the fridge
Harvesting Harvest while the fruit is young and shiny for optimum flavour
