Intense tasting Japanese herb and salad leaf, which looks brilliant in any sunny spot in the garden. It has an intense, slightly gingery taste.

Sowing, Seeds, Planting | Start the seeds indoors in March/ April. Press the seeds into the growing media and cover lightly with compost. Keep out of direct sunlight and keep moist until germination which occurs 2-4 weeks later. You can speed the germination process up by sowing into a length of guttering under cover and transplanting outside. |
Care Tips | Position the young plants in full sun with a fertile moist soil that is well-drained. Give the plants some protection from cold nights with a cloche, until they are growing well. |
