More Details

Asparagus 'Gijnlim' is famously tasty new hybrid variety. Asparagus is a perennial which should go on cropping well for over a decade, so find these bare root plants somwehere permanent in a sunny and freely drained spot and they will give you the most wonderful home-grown meals.

Asparagus is the vegetable garden caviar, which tastes so much sweeter and lovelier if very freshly picked. If you have plenty of room in your veg garden, this plant is a must.

To maximise productivity, plant two varieties, one early season and one main or late season cropper. This extends the productivity of your patch from 4 weeks to 6.
