My favourite Early – Mid season seed potatoes for planting in March and cropping in June and July.

Home-grown potatoes are easy to grow and taste so much better. Grow your own salad and vegetables and you'll always have something for supper.

Our potatoes are tried and tested – we only sell the best varieties from our trials.

This collection contains 1kg each of:

Common Name Potato
Soil Type Acid, Alkaline, Chalky, Clay, Fertile, Neutral, Sandy
Site Full Sun
Spacing Plant tubers 40cm (16in) apart with 45cm (18in) between rows.
Sowing, Seeds, Planting Chitting February-March, planting April-May.
Care Tips Add lots of well rotted manure the previous autumn (not too fresh).
Harvesting Just over 4 months after planting (late June - August).

First and second crops did well. Later crop poor.

The potatoes grew but sadly they did not cook well and most attempts ended up as soggy mush in pan. Not sure if it was the dry weather or not, but it has put me off growing potatoes next year.
