Sharpes Express Potatoes

Reviewed 22nd July 2015 by john stuart

First year I have grown this variety. Getting a good crop of nice white, firm, disease free potatoes. BUT disappointed when cooked. Tried various ways of boiling but they very quickly turn floury. They tend to break up very early in cooking.

Reply from the Sarah Raven Team:

"Thank you John for your review. Yes, these potatoes are quite floury - and we appreciate that not everyone appreciates their potatoes this way. We'd recommend roasting them, steaming them or picking them even younger if you want to try to avoid this texture."
