An exciting salad variety bred from the similar parentage of ‘Harlequin’ (‘Pink Fir Apple x Adora’).

‘Pippa’ boasts comparable features such as the attractive pink blush colouring, excellent flavour and a waxy flesh which is passed down from the parentage. The perfect Salad potato that makes excellent boiled potatoes as well.

Spacing Plant tubers 40cm (16in) apart with 45cm (18in) between rows
Sowing, Seeds, Planting Chitting February-March, planting April-May. You can also force these for an earlier crop by planting under cover in March.
Care Tips When the shoots first appear draw the earth from between the rows to cover them. This encourages underground shoots and more tubers. Add in lots of well rotted manure the previous autumn (not too fresh).
Storing Store in a cool, dark place for a short time.
Harvesting Just over 4 months after planting (late June - August).
Cooking Notes A waxy, salad-type potato, which holds its texture well on gentle boiling.
