This year's crop was not as good as last year's, but that might have had something to do with our weather this spring/summer. Having said that, I pulled these early and they were pretty much free of scab with no worms, and the potatoes were a good size and tasty. To be perfectly honest, I've never grown what I would consider a 5-star potato in my allotment.

These potatoes split when either simmering or steaming. I really can't believe this happening as they would appear to be a lovely potato. I would welcome any advice.

"Thank you for taking time to leave your review. We are sorry to hear of your disappointment with your Belle de Fontanay, in our experience they are normally very reliable and delicious. You may find it helps to leave the potatoes until they become fully mature, they will not make big sized potatoes even if left and you may find it improves the cooking of them.
If we can help you in any way please do contact our customer service team at info@sarahraven.com or by calling 0345 092 0283 and our team will assist you further.
