Shallots 'Biztro' is a good quick and strong growing shallot, with pale red flesh and good resistance to bolting.

Sets are immature bulbs that are specially grown for planting.

Sowing, Seeds, Planting Plant out March - April, so that the tip of the bulb is just above the soil. These are traditionally planted out on the shortest day of the year. For further instructions, please read our how to plant and grow onion sets guide.
Care Tips Prepare the ground well with good manure throughout the winter. Keep well weeded.
Storing Remove foliage, and store in a cool dry place from September to April.
Harvesting Late July-September. Lift with a fork and leave to dry in the summer sunshine for 2 days. These are traditionally harvested on the longest day of the year.
