My favourite flavour of herb tea, delicious and lemony, with a hint of ginger. For those of us trying to avoid too much caffeine, this is even more delicious than home-made mint tea.

If you have a problem sleeping, this herb made in our lovely tisaniere is for you. It makes a brilliant container plant or as a perennial, given some shelter it will last from one year to the next.

Grew very well and developed into a bushy plant in my herb trough. Delicious on its own for tisane and also nice mixed with fresh mint. Highly recommended.

Wonderful. I love this plant, and have really enjoyed having more of them in the beds and for adding some gorgeous scent to cut flowers in the house.

Absolutely loved this plant, gave some of the rooted cuttings to friends, put mine in a large pot. The growth of the Lemon verbena was incredible, wonderful smell and used the leaves in tea, and added leaves to water to make a lemon spritz for freshening up linen. Good value healthy plants, arrived very well packaged.

Plant vigour and health was perfect. Everything I expect from Sarah Raven. Delivery was a bit slow on this, however, one must appreciate nature doesn't always work to customer's timetable

I have struggled to keep them going in the dry weather, but now looking healthy but with only limited flowering. Original plants were excellent. I am just worried as to how to carry them through to next year.

Sadly the delivery system doesn't work for me - the seedlings all ended up sitting for a couple of days before I could unbox them, most went mouldy and none survived. No judgement on the quality and I understand the benefit of the system that sends when the plants are ready but it doesn't work for someone who travels regularly. If there was a way to pick delivery windows that would be great, otherwise will have to go back to garden centres.

A lovely plant and its good to get some decent sized plugs to grow on

Lemon Verbena

Reviewed 18th April 2017 by Hazel Salisbury

I love lemon verbena tea and 5 of these plugs kept me well supplied over the summer and autumn months. They struggled a bit when I first tried to put them outdoors as the weather was quite cold and wet, so I kept them indoors until conditions outside were more settled and they haven't looked back since. They are in a pot and grew well to around 2 feet tall, making a strong bushy shrub.

As they are relatively tender, I kept them in the potting shed over winter and kept the pot quite dry. They are now in a very sheltered spot outdoors but still under cover and they are growing well, with lots of new leaves up the stems. I'm really not sure about pruning them, so I erred on the side of caution and just took a couple of inches off the tops at the beginning of March.
