Harvesting July - October, Cordons fruit over a long period. You should be picking tomatoes in July and continue harvesting from the cordons until October. At the end of the summer, any unripe tomatoes can be picked and placed next to a banana – the ethylene released helps them to ripen. For basil, remove individual leaves or stems, don't cut the plant to the ground. Remove flowers as they appear.

The plants arrived well wrapped and ready for planting - I had Basil throughout the Summer, they were exceptionally tasty. I had problems with the heritage tomatoes but I suspect that was down to my greenhouse and not the plants which were healthy.

You replaced first lot due to poor quality. Sent a different selection as agreed which were no better, but I persevered. Plants when delivered this time wer bent over in the tubes and etiolated. Never made strong plants and I had only few tomatoes. Basil plants were fab, inside and out this year.
Shame as I had great sweet peas, alstromerias, salvias etc from you.
Can’t seem to attach pics from iPad to show you.

The seedlings had been in transit too long and were all bent over and one basil plant was damaged.
I sent a email a the time but received no reply.
I threw away one basil and one tomato seedling and because of that, I thought twice before ordering plants recently.

Reply from the Sarah Raven Team:
