Purple spires of bean like flowers followed by glossy, purple black pods, showy and glamorous cascading from teepees and frames in late summer and autumn.

Sowing, Seeds, Planting Soak seeds overnight prior to sowing. Sow indoors, thinly into moist seed compost and do not exclude light. Transplant and harden off before planting out once the danger of frost has passed.
Care Tips Provide support for climbing - best in a sheltered spot.

Only one seed grew. All in the same tray, planted at the same time etc. But only one appeared which is doing well.

5 seeds germinated but the plants didn't grow on well and died

This is the first time i have tried this. It germinated well,
l,but i lost several because i put it out too early, be warned! It is now romping away in the heat with sumptuous deep maroon leaves, no flowers yet
