Excellent flavoured, elegant seed-grown white sage to crop all year.

Sowing, Seeds, Planting Surface sow onto seed compost. Needs light to germinate. Ideal temp. 20-30°C. Germination should take 7-14 days. Keep moist.
Care Tips Will appreciate a warm, well-sheltered spot. If in a cold area cut the plant back and apply a deep sandy mulch. When growing, go for a sunny aspect with plenty of warmth and do not over water. Make sure the soil is a well-draining sandy mix.
Flowering April - June
Vase Life Sear the stem ends in boiling water for 20 seconds.
Storing Leaves and seed can be dried and stored
Harvesting The plant is great for bee keepers as it produces great honey. The leaves can be dried and used as a herb and the seed can be collected and consumed. The leaves can be bundled and burnt to produce an relaxing incense.
Cooking Notes Seed, raw or cooked. It can be ground into a powder and used as an ingredient.
