A beautiful soft mix of tulips and wallflowers, with a scattering of rich contrast from the emerging buds of 'Apricot' wallflowers. I absolutely love this.

Height 25-40cm (10-16in)
Spacing Plant bulbs 20cm (8in) deep, 8cm apart. Layer bulbs if room is tight. Plant wallflowers 12inch apart, try to keep a good sod of earth round the root when you transplant as the tiny spider roots gives the plant a good start before winter.

Care Tips Leave planting your tulips until the cold weather has set in, as this will help wipe out viral and fungal diseases. Deadhead the wallflowers regularly to prolong flowering.
Flowering April - May
Vase Life Tulips make supreme cut flowers. Strip the bottom leaves, tie the stems in paper and allow to drink with the stems held vertical for 8 hours. This helps keep the stems straight. With wallflowers, they last up to 10 days in clean water and even last in a hot room which will bring out their scent. Sear their stem ends in boiling water for 20 seconds.

To be honest I was seriously underwhelmed. Your catalogue photos are always so beautiful, but my tulips were a bit weedy and insipid
