One of the earliest, super-flowery clematis you can grow to cascade over walls and out of large containers for beautiful froths of colour for much of spring, followed by silvery seed heads which remain through summer.

Sowing, Seeds, Planting Clematis prefer moist, well-drained soil with the base of the plant in shade and growth tips in light. Add plenty of organic matter to the soil before planting. Try mulching around the base to offer protection from heat and light. Will require support on a wall or in the border over which it can climb.
Care Tips No annual pruning is needed. If the spread of the plant needs to be tidied then prune directly after flowering, cutting back long shoots to healthy buds

Vase Life Pick short-stemmed, single flowers for mini arrangements or larger, multi-headed tresses to cascade out of large vases. Sear stem ends for 15 seconds to maximise vase life.
