Genus Narcissus
Group/Species Tazetta

Fragrant with clusters of florets (usually more than three) on a stem. Very broad foliage and stem. Click here for more information on narcissi divisions.

Variety Minnow
Type Hardy Perennial
Common Name Daffodil
Border Position Front
Bulb Size 10/12

Soil Type Acid, Alkaline, Chalky, Clay, Fertile, Neutral, Sandy
Scent Scented
Site Full Sun, Part Shade
Height 15cm (6in)
Spacing Plant pointy end up, 10-15cm (4-6in) inches deep with three to four inches between each bulb.
Care Tips Plant anytime from August - November. They are very tolerant bulbs.
Flowering March - April
Vase Life Narcissi make great cut flowers lasting up to a week in the vase. I love them jumbled up in large jugs on the table. Be careful mixing with other flower types as their stems give off a compound that is toxic to other flowers and soak their stems in warm water before displaying to stop the 'goo' from running out.

I bought 3 varieties of narcissus and put them in two pots and had a continuous display from March through to June. Very pleased.

The Minnow bulbs looked delightful and produced a good quantity of bulb lets For next year.
The White Camassia also did well.
Curiously the Selinum wallichianum only one survived of the three plantletsThey were a bit battered on arrival and needed 'nursing'. Even then I lost two.
Very difficult to see what I am typing as the page slips up all the time. Is that me or your site?

Planted these for the first time last autumn. How amazing they were. So tiny yet so perfectly formed. I planted them in pots and they flowered their little socks off. A beautiful sight in spring.

So Pretty
