Don’t plant tulips until mid-late October. Plant pointy end up 10-15cm deep, 8cm apart in borders (less in containers). You can use a mycorrhizal Bulb Starter.

This picture doesn’t quite do justice to the coppery undertones beneath the pink-purple multi-heads, so when I saw it in a trial field, I fell for it immediately — complex, unusual, and under-stated.
