- Plant bulbs 20cm (8in) deep, 8cm apart. Layer bulbs if room is tight. Plant wallflowers 12inch apart, try to keep a good sod of earth round the root when you transplant as the tiny spider roots gives the plant a good start before winter.
- Don’t plant tulips until mid-late October. Plant pointy end up 10-15cm deep, 8cm apart in borders (less in containers). You can use a mycorrhizal Bulb Starter.
