Description

The well-known peppery salad leaf, which is good raw, or wilted over pasta or pizza. It runs up to flower quickly in the heat, so don't grow it in the summer, but sow it in the autumn or end of winter for picking in the autumn, winter and early spring. .

Care Tips

It may get infested with flea beetle which leaves lots of tiny holes all over the leaves. Protect with a physical barrier of fleece from sowing on. Water regularly to prevent it becoming too hot and sour.
