Cultivation
Sow under cover late March-May. Soak seed overnight, then sow 2.5cm (1in) deep in a 9cm pot. Once they have 5-6 leaves, they’re ready to go out. Harden off and plant once frosts are over. Sow direct from mid-May, even sowing into your compost heap.

Description

Fell in love with this pumpkin last year, with beautiful soft-pink orange skins and elegant ribbed fruits. We had these growing up and over our brassica cages, where they won the yield pumpkin/squash competition, producing more per plant than all our other variety. The flesh is rich orange, tasty and treacly.

Care Tips

Water well, and avoid the plant becoming dry. Mulch well, and dig in plenty of manure. Can romp over the ground or climb over a frame. It is important to keep pinching out the triffid-like growth tips once they reach 1.8m to help the fruit to set.
