One of the brightest of pulmonarias and guaranteed to be in flower by February. Sear the stem ends in boiling water and they make an invaluable winter/spring jewel-like cut flower.
Best in a moisture retentive soil to avoid mildew. Cut back after flowering for a flush of new leaves and divide every 3-5 years.
