Description
Almost as waxy, nutty and delicious as its parent ‘Pink Fir Apple’ but far earlier and a much more even shape without all the knobbles. Absolutely perfect for potato salad. This came top of our potato forcing trial last summer, and is tip-top planted in bags or baskets inside in Feb/March and eaten in late May/June. Highly resistant to scab.
Unfortunately Potato 'Anya' is no longer available due to a crop failure. You may like the similar 'Pink Fir Apple' or 'Jazzy' instead.
Care Tips
Plant in ground that has had lots of compost or manure added to it. When the shoots first appear draw the earth from between the rows to cover them. This protects them from frost and encourages underground shoots and more tubers.
