Description

A well-known and reliable shrub, best trained against a wall or fence. The winter jasmine is a slender, deciduous shrub native to China where it is knowns as ‘Yingchun’ or, ‘the flower that welcomes spring’, when its blossom comes into full peak. It will need tying in as it’s not a natural twiner. In the first months of year, cut the bright green stems in bloom for a sunny vase.

Care Tips

Plant in well-drained soil in a sheltered position in sun or partial shade. Allow plenty of space for the long lax arching stems or provide support to train. Prune back after flowering to strong buds or young lower branches.
