Cultivation
Preferably plant en masse in woodland conditions with moist but well-drained, humus-rich soil in partial shade. Drier conditions tolerated when dormant in summer. Plant 5-7cm (2in) deep, 20cm (8in) apart.

Description

Dog’s tooth violets are easy to grow in any moist, partly shaded ground and once established they will flower more and more vigorously each season. E. ‘Pagoda’ has brilliant long stems, with four or five bright yellow flowers and bronze anthers.
