- Plant in fertile well drained soil with plenty of sunlight or grow in a container. Do not plant to close to other plants where air movement might be restricted.
One of my current favourite border plants and cut flowers. Among the very best foliage plants you can grow looking good for at least six months in the garden. A non-petalled flowering form of Sweet Williams, with vibrant green pompom heads right through summer and autumn.
Water once a week and mulch once established to keep the soil moist. A balanced liquid feed every couple of months will encourage more blooms. Cut flowers for the vase or deadhead regularly.
