Description

A spectacular plant for a summer container or as a border filler, with fiery orange blooms, glowing for months and months against rich, deep green foliage. This is native to Mexico, where it's considered an evergreen sub-shrub with a spreading habit but at Perch Hill we treat it as a tender perennial, taking cuttings to over-winter in the greenhouse.

Care Tips

Best treated as an annual, so take cuttings in early autumn and over winter in a frost free greenhouse or coldframe.
