Description

If you have a damp spot or shady area of grass at the base of a hedge, plant a few of these to gradually naturalise into wonderful mauve carpets all spring. They’re one of my favourite wild flowers to pick too, lasting a week in a vase if you sear the stem end for 5 seconds in boiling water.

Care Tips

To aid establishment grow wherever there is damp ground - wet grassland, damp meadows, pond margins and along the banks of streams.
