Description

Flowering quince are to me a marker that spring is nearly here. In bloom on a sheltered sunny wall from February here in a mild year, I love this trained tight to the brick, scattering the surface with jewels like a Persian carpet.

Care Tips

These will grow happily almost anywhere. Although they have a naturally spreading habit, they take well to wall-training. After flowering, prune side-shoots to five or six leaves and remove crossing stems.
