Description

A delightful but little known rare hybrid Bergenia with beautifully poised rust-coloured stems with shapely branched trusses of flowers. Blooms are subtly shaded the palest pink at first, gradually deepening until it is completely suffused in rose pink. Unusually, this Bergenia has narrow reflective glossy green leaves with a red underside. In autumn the foliage tarnishes to shades of copper and burnished red. A plant of great permanency pulling mixed planting combinations together.

Care Tips

Incredibly hardy and reliably evergreen. Bergenia are most effective when mass planted or used as an edging along a walkway. Easily divided in spring or early autumn. Remove tired foliage after winter to make way for fresh growth.
