Description

Alstroemeria 'Elvira' is a delicate, pale pink with bold stripes.

Alstroemerias are one of the longest and hardest performing plants you can grow. Our trial bed is still going strong five years after we planted it. Hugely flowery, I picked an enormous vase of alstroemerias for Christmas.

Care Tips

Plant in a sheltered site, in part shade or full sun, any time between May and August. Stake plants and keep picking the flowers - pull them rather than cutting (wear gloves). Mulch deeply if you live in a cooler part of the country.
