It would be hard to imagine a flower more perfect than Papaver nudicaule 'Party Fun'. A scented poppy – handfuls of crumpled silk – with a spicy, delicious scent.

Papaver nudicaule 'Party Fun' also makes one of the loveliest cut flowers, unravelling from tight buds and lasting surprisingly well in a vase. This mixture flowers in a wide range of colours, from white to yellow, orange, pink, and even scarlet and bicolours.

Spacing Plant 15cm (6in) apart, thin to 30cm (12in).
Sowing, Seeds, Planting Sow direct May-July. They are a bit temperamental, germinating well but damping off. Don't over-water. Can also sow under cover February-March for flowering the same year.
Care Tips Unlike other poppies nudicaule poppies will tolerate transplanting so plant out in autumn. Don't over-water.
Flowering May - September (mid spring if sown the previous year, summer if sown early spring of the same year)
Vase Life 5 days. Sear stem ends in boiling water for 20 seconds. Delicately scented.
Harvesting Flower production: 3-4 months.
