The River Cafe was opened by Ruth Rogers and Rose Gray in 1987 and is inspired and influenced by their experience of living and cooking in Italy. The importance of seasonality, robust flavours and the connection between a region’s food and its wine remain at the heart of the restaurant today.

An open kitchen, wood-burning oven and adjacent vegetable garden are all key elements of the restaurant which influence the twice-daily changing menu. Joe will demonstrate exciting recipes, that will be served as a delicious summer lunch, I can't wait!.

The day lasts from 10.30am till 2.30pm including tea/coffee on arrival, morning tea/coffee break with snacks and a delicious lunch using Joe's recipes.

Course Delivery - You will initially receive an automated email from our order system to confirm your booking. You will then receive a course confirmation email which will contain all the information that you will need before attending the course, details of the course, names booked on the course, directions and local B&B information etc. The course confirmation email will be sent to you within 2 weeks of placing your booking. Please note that our courses and events are ticketless and you do not need to bring a ticket with you on the day.
