Zappy bicolour dahlias are massively on the up and we all loved this one in our dahlia trial last summer, brilliant as an upper storey silhouette in the garden and vase.
This seems to be everyone’s current favourite dahlia, with huge, pillowy flowers in the perfect colour, a warm cream-blush, which mixes well with so many different colour combinations.
Flowers open orange and fade to muted terracotta – I love it. Very long flowering season and good vase life.
From the same family as the super-popular ‘Blue Bayou’, ‘Totally Tangerine’ and ‘Hot Cakes’, this is the first of this group in a pale, serene cream and already set to be classic.
A brand new dahlia, in whole new tonal range of apricot at the petals tips to crimson at its heart – mixes brilliantly with almost any colour. Hugely recommended.
It's the softer coloured dahlias that we seem increasingly drawn to, with this mauve stealing the show in our dahlia trial in 2015.
Super-tastic shape and colour, the ideal punctuation mark with dark, rich varieties – and whites. It's a must-have for us dahlia fanatics.
One of my new-found favourite dahlias which I jumped on in a huge dahlia trial field in Holland last summer.
