Sowing, Seeds, Planting Zinnias are best sown April-May under cover in modules or gutters to avoid root disturbance. Place somewhere warm and keep moist until germination occurs, usually within a week. Harden off before planting out after the frosts, once roots have filled their individual modules. Pinch out tips as you plant. Direct sow late May-June, zinnias hate cold nights.:
Care Tips Water once a week and stake plants individually - if they collapse over, they’ll never grow or flower as well as when vertically supported. Zinnias have a tendency to botrytis, especially during damp and cool weather so it is important to ensure good air circulation around plants and tidy up any dead or dying leaves and plant material. Picking or deadheading is necessary to prolong blooming and encourage branching.

Not as successful as hoped. Germination not that great and those that made it into the garden the flower is insignificant.

They arrived looking pretty weak. I had to put them on a heated propagater for a while and they never really picked up well, the 4 that made it to flowering look very nice but I won't be inclined to re purchase next year.
