Calendula officinalis 'Sunset Buff' is the soft buff-apricot version of 'Indian Prince' with the same crimson petal backs but a much more subtle overall flower colour.

Sowing, Seeds, Planting Sow under cover March-April. Sow direct April-May and/or late August-September. This will self-sow.
Care Tips Keep picking or deadhead to ensure flowers until the first frosts. For stronger plants sow in autumn and over winter. Can be grown in container pots.
Flowering June - October from seedlings. Or 10-12 weeks from spring sowing of seeds - the flowers should be producing for 2-3 months.
Vase Life Strip the bottom leaves. Should last 5-7 days.
Cooking Notes The flowers are edible.

Not many germinated. I think the colour is not to my taste - a kind of faded apricot. Does not work alongside other marigolds which do not have a pinkish tone. But don't work alongside pink flowers either. I think I'll pull them up before they start to re-seed

Amazing colours, the buds are a deep crimson opening up into a rainbow of reds golds and soft coral. Neat habit and very easy to grow. Sow some of the seeds in the autumn for a glorious spring show. Lovely cut flowers.
