Sowing, Seeds, Planting Sow from February under cover, or plant out from June when nights are warm. You can speed the germination process up by sowing into a length of guttering under cover and transplanting outside.
Care Tips Requires plenty of water. Pinch out growing tips so plants bulk out. This grows well in a container pot.
Flowering June - September
Storing Freezes well - or make pesto to keep in the fridge
Harvesting July - October. 6-8 weeks from sowing. Remove individual leaves or stems, don't cut the plant to the ground. Remove flowers as they appear. 3-4 months in the summer and early autumn.
