Magnificent honey scent and tip-top for butterflies, this classic makes a wonderful cut flower. Sear stem ends in boiling water for 30 secs and it lasts a week in the vase.

Sowing, Seeds, Planting Vernalise the seed before sowing by mixing it with a little damp compost and placing it in the fridge in a sealed container for about a month. Then sow by just lightly covering with compost. Transplant when large enough to handle into 9cm pots.
Care Tips Buddleja will require only occasional attention. In spring, prune Buddleja plants back to a low framework of 3 buds from the base of the plant, this can increase with maturity if you wish. Deadhead faded buddleja flowers to prolong the flowering season.
