I fell in love with this climber, trialled in our garden and greenhouse last summer.

First come the delicate flowers, then the green balloon seedpods, each one holding a black seed inside marked with a perfect white heart – hence, its common name Love-in-a-puff.

Sowing, Seeds, Planting Sow indoors or in a glasshouse in spring. Sow 1cm deep into moist, well-drained seed compost. Transplant seedlings to pots and grow on. Acclimatise and plant out after danger of frost has passed.
Care Tips Provide support for climbing - best in a sheltered spot.
