Sowing, Seeds, Planting Surface sow onto moist well-drained seed compost and lightly cover seed with a sprinkling of soil or vermiculite. Place on a warm windowsill inside a propagator or seal inside a clear polythene bag until seedlings appear. Germination can be erratic and may take up to 21 days. When seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant into 7.5cm (3in) pots and grow on in cooler conditions until well established. When all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise young plants to outdoor conditions over a couple of weeks before planting outdoors. Think Provence when you’re choosing the site as lavender likes a good baking and sharp drainage. Lavender also grows well in pots, each plant will need a minimum 30cm (12in) diameter container.
Care Tips Lavender shrubs flower on new wood therefore annual pruning will improve flowering and prevent them from becoming woody. Prune immediately after flowering or whilst in flower. Remove shoots to within 2cm of previous years growth in late August/early September.

"Thank you for leaving your review. We are very sorry to hear of your disappointment with your seeds and have refunded you for them. Unfortunately we are unable to offer advise on why seeds would not grow in your home country of Sweden."
