A rich and lovely purple, lovely on its own or mixed with tulips.
Wallflowers are one of my favourite spring flowers, in the most wonderful rich colours, with one of the best-ever scents. They also make superb cut flowers. We should all grow more.

Seedlings can go straight in the border or you can grow on plants in 9cm pots until they reach 10 to 15cm in height at which point they’re ready to plant out. The ground should be prepared before planting out. Dig it over thoroughly, and mix in plenty of organic matter – such as manure or leaf mould. The planting location should have good drainage and ideally the soil should be slightly alkaline. |

Wallflower 'Sunset Purple' F1 reviews
Reviewed 10th August 2019 by Mrs Parker they faded quite quickly. However i have not bought anything this year as i was very very disappointed with my tulips this year in the spring. I also encouraged my mother to buy many of Sarah's tulips and they too were of very very poor quality. It has turned us off completely and this autumn we willbe buying them from another source. Sorry. |
Reviewed 3rd August 2019 by Diane Prompt arrinval and all 60 seeds purchased have germinated and growing well |

Reviewed 2nd August 2019 by Janet Many of the plugs were uprooted by squirrels and the grew at awkward angles. We think we should have planted them deeper to reduce the problem. Some colour mixes were disappointing and it would have been helpful to know which would associate well with spring bulbs. We are left wondering what to do with them at the end of the season. |
Reviewed 31st July 2019 by Alice All the Sunset Purple seedlings that I bought, over 30 I think we’re excellent except about 5 or 6 of the total were yellow! Not so good in my colour co-ordinated tubs with tulips as well. Also you said they would come in early October and in fact it was mid September. Luckily just before we went away. If they had been a few days later they would have been dead on our return. |

Reviewed 31st July 2019 by Teresa These wallflowers have never failed to amaze me! I have brought these two years in a row and they make an amazing show |
Reviewed 31st July 2019 by Lucinda They were a mixed bag - some that were sunset purple and a couple that were primrose yellow all over. Didn’t look great as part of a planning colour scheme and when I phoned to query this was told “that hasn’t happened to anyone else “ as if it was something I’d done in the planting! Was then told to ring back in the autumn to get some new ones sent out. Knowing me i’ll probably forget. |
