they faded quite quickly. However i have not bought anything this year as i was very very disappointed with my tulips this year in the spring. I also encouraged my mother to buy many of Sarah's tulips and they too were of very very poor quality. It has turned us off completely and this autumn we willbe buying them from another source. Sorry.

Many of the plugs were uprooted by squirrels and the grew at awkward angles. We think we should have planted them deeper to reduce the problem. Some colour mixes were disappointing and it would have been helpful to know which would associate well with spring bulbs. We are left wondering what to do with them at the end of the season.

All the Sunset Purple seedlings that I bought, over 30 I think we’re excellent except about 5 or 6 of the total were yellow! Not so good in my colour co-ordinated tubs with tulips as well. Also you said they would come in early October and in fact it was mid September. Luckily just before we went away. If they had been a few days later they would have been dead on our return.

The wallflowers performed very well in the pots with the honeysuckle and roses.
They also flowered very well in the tulip bed, flowering at just the right time to complement the tulips. I was then surprised they just kept on blooming, even after the tulips were spent.

They were a mixed bag - some that were sunset purple and a couple that were primrose yellow all over. Didn’t look great as part of a planning colour scheme and when I phoned to query this was told “that hasn’t happened to anyone else “ as if it was something I’d done in the planting! Was then told to ring back in the autumn to get some new ones sent out. Knowing me i’ll probably forget.

Gorgeous shade, took awhile to get going but that meant they didn't outgrow their tulip friends.
