A mix of coffee, raspberry and cream in this truly beautiful annual phlox, which lasts well over a week in the vase.

It has spindly stems, so support as it grows. We grow this up through garlic chives as a sturdy frame.

Sowing, Seeds, Planting Sow under cover in early spring. Use a good quality seed compost, sow seeds at a depth of 1.5cm, keep the soil moist and pot on once seedlings appear (germination should occur within 21 days). May be sown direct where they are to flower in late spring.
Care Tips Keep deadheading to encourage further blooms through out the summer. Needs staking or growing up through other things. It looks brilliant in combination with garlic chives (Allium tuberosum).

Vase Life Reliable cut flower with no need for conditioning.

Good germination and colourful plants. might have done better if there growing suggestions e.g. would pinching out growing tips given a more bushy plant

Once fully grown these phlox are lovely but they are not as robust as other phlox I have in my garden - they are rather delicate. They need care and nurture and ended up in a container pot rather than in the flower bed as they would not have been strong enough. That said they are stunning. The colour of the flowers are beautiful and make an interesting addition to my patio.
