Care Tips Leave planting your tulips until the cold weather has set in, as this will help wipe out viral and fungal diseases. Deadhead the wallflowers regularly to prolong flowering.
Flowering April - May
Vase Life Tulips make supreme cut flowers. Strip the bottom leaves, tie the stems in paper and allow to drink with the stems held vertical for 8 hours. This helps keep the stems straight. With wallflowers, they last up to 10 days in clean water and even last in a hot room which will bring out their scent. Sear their stem ends in boiling water for 20 seconds.
