An old French, long-stemmed climbing or shrub rose, in a bright sunny pink with many heads, which often come as a spray.
It is lightly scented and has a good vase life. It also flowers well into the autumn with masses of camellia-like blooms.
Plant this close to your seating area or house entrance, so that you can appreciate the deep, rich fragrance. It's ideal for a mixed border, or can be trained as a low climber.

Sowing, Seeds, Planting | Before planting bare root roses, soak roots in a bucket of water for at least two hours. Prune any damaged roots and dig a hole 30-45cm (12-18in) deep and 60cm (24in) wide. Roses like heavy compact soil, so be sure to heel them in well. To aid quick establishment, sprinkle mycorrhizal fungi (Rootgrow) into the base of the planting hole. |
Care Tips | Water generously until established, and add fertiliser each spring. Prune lightly in late summer, once it has finished flowering. |
Flowering | June - November |
Harvesting | Flower production: 5-6 months. |
