An excellent, classic, evergreen, silver-foliage plant, long been used by designers in borders, but have you tried it in a container too? Kept clipped and over-planted with colour (such as fuschias) it makes a brilliant, all-year container plant. That's how my mother grows it and its looked good for years.

Looks good in a pot, but the sparrows love it so much it has been severely checked in growth.

Have moved the pots several times, hope they recover.
